Structural Reports for Planning Purposes
We can provide structural reports and appraisals to confirm structural integrity to or assist with Planning Permission for conversion or class Q development.
With extensive experience in converting barns and agricultural buildings, we can assess the feasibility of your proposals and provide advice on preliminary design.
Why do I need a structural report?
When converting barns to dwellings, planners often need a report prepared by a suitably qualified person to ascertain that the existing structure is worthy of retention. This means inspecting each element of the building from the foundations to the roof structure to determine whether it would be viable to impose additional loadings, such as those from plasterboard, insulation etc.
Our team is also expert in assessing structures for Class Q development, which is often a challenging process.
